I’m running for City Council because I believe strongly in creating a community that works for everyone.
As someone who grew up here, I want to make sure the next generation of Coquitlam families can plant their roots here while still ensuring our existing residents can stay in the neighbourhoods they know.
I need your help to get this work started now.
Matt’s Story
For the last eight years I have been one of out Coquitlam Public Library Board trustees. I’ve successfully advocated for a new Burke Mountain branch and expanded services while staying within our budget. During this time, I have also been working for the provincial government in the areas of housing, mental health, finance, and municipal affairs. I want to bring all of my experience and advocacy to City Council.
My partner, Natalie and I live in the Town Centre Neighborhood and plan to raise our family in Coquitlam.
Coquitlam is on the unceded, traditional territories of the Kwikwetlem First Nation, the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation and the Coast Salish peoples.
